full of bright colors.

so what if I don't care about being ''Miss Somebody?''

"Why would you want me to whisper?" asked Speaker with words of concrete loudness.

"Because it calms me down when you whisper."

"Calms you down?"

"Yes," came the sighed reply, "It reminds me of trees whistling in the breeze, of serenity, of waves trapped in shells on the beach and –"

The Speaker smiled, "Did you prepare that?"

"What?"

"All of that you just said."

A puzzled expression flashed over the Other's face, "No, but.... why....?"

"Because," explained the Speaker in the requested whisper, "my voice may sound like trees and waves, but," there was a pause, "Yours sound like living po

Today Was a DayToday was a day where everything had changed.

Today was a day where the world stopped,
Even if you can't even remember it, everything was still.
Yet, everything had happened in a flash.

Today was a day people stopped doing what they always did,
Violently yanked away from their self-absorbed lifestyles,
Actually thinking of others and their nation.

Today was a day where someone you knew,
Someone you didn't know,
Was gone forever in a few, slow, long, anguish-filled hours.

Today was a day where civilians became heroes,
Where people sacrificed themselves to save the lives of others,
Of people they didn't even know.

Today was a day w

because I've always never been afraid.)

You may own my emotions in a jar,
but I'll stand strong
to be the person that you'll fear in your dreams.

because you were a devil in training,

It's a feeling I've felt for so many years.
I know I've told you the feeling went away,
But the pain is still raw, until this very day.

I can see the pain you store in your heart.
You try to hide it, but I've known from the start.
You hurt, you cry. And your life: you wish to end.
For reasons that I cannot comprehend.

I feel despair, regret, and numb beyond belief.
All I want to do is breakdown, and have a little relief.
Relief from the screaming in my head, the remorseful, horrible dreams.
My mask hides the real me, nothing's as good as it seems.

Losswe're never meant to keep the ones we love
some see this as a source of strength from above
but if instead it leaves us emotionally dried
what's their next explanation, that we just never tried?

with all this loss I can't even appreciate
those remaining that have changed my life to date
I live afraid of what could happen to my friends
all just to punish me for rules I've tried to bend

what kind of poet am i?i have never drank
and i have never had sex
i am not a bottle
filled with sand like regret,
and i do not smoke.

i am wrapped in a robe of scars,
and my heart is pepper.
it is spiced and it is littered
with holes through which light
does and does not pass.

i have never awakened
to an empty bed
shared in the night and
broken in the morning.

i have never been in love
with a sheet of skin that i have touched.
i use touch as a coping mechanism.
wanting as a coping mechanism.
it makes me feel like a human
but unlike a poet.

what kind of poet am i?

i can't promise you anything.i made a mistake
when i told you that i could love you
forever. i know now that the only thing
i can know for certain is that nothing
will ever be certain again. we could
wake up tomorrow and feel something
completely different. we could wake up
tomorrow and be completely different.
that's the exciting part. it's also the
part that makes it hard to even fall asleep
in the first place.

my heart attacks
my every whim and everyday is this whirlwind
of terror and elation and i don't even know
where to end or begin or if this makes sense
anymore, but the one thing i've come to realize
is the worst kind of lie will always be

Even though I hear it burns.
I don't drink.

What I do is love.

The tears burn at the corners of your eyes.
You feel emotionally weak and numb.
The only thing you do feel is the sting in your heart.

I love because it is the most beautiful and the most torturous pain.

Uncharted DestinationShe had never lost words in oceans before
Those oceans that disappear into black
Interminable, impenetrable blackness
That perfect jewel of uncharted destination

The dank bottoms of the sea remained
In their deepest shrouded secrets untouched
No pebbles, nor stones, were known soft or rough
The waves devoured all thought of discovery

Through harshness the waters may darken
And thus the waves shall spur temper
The ocean will rock in the cradle of earth
And grow gray with the sorrow, the anger

Yet such blue will simmer over glassy seas
As gulls coo and glide overhead
The surface is cool, calm and relieved
Beauty that paints summe

graduation.the funniest thing is
i think i found myself
between pages of prose and poetry
that will someday stop this world
for just a moment
and let it cry, let it scream,
let it quake and burst and end,

just to begin again.

Forced Happiness is SadnessThey tell me to smile, but how can I?
How can I smile with your voice continually in my head? How can I live when you engulf me in darkness? Life isn't for forced happiness, it's for weeping and crying and feeling genuine emotion. So please, don't hold a knife to my throat during unknown times and make me 'grin and bear it'. I don't want to feel that cold metal biting into the soft flesh of my neck. I have no desire to have foreign sentiments injected into my heart.

The Janitor's ClosetI waited until the last bell rang to grab him and drag him into the janitor's closet. The irony of me dragging someone into a closet rather than out was not lost on me. He struggled a little but I had the door shut before he really knew what was going on. The sudden darkness must have freaked him out because he started trying to yank his arm out of my grip.

"Jesus Forrest, chill. It's me, Randy," I said quietly as I reached up, blindly searching for the light chain. I yanked on it and a dim bulb burst into life above us. Forrest looked furious.

"Yeah, I knew it was you Randy.

Blue as the Israeli flag
Blue as the color of Squidward's blood

Its funny that you have ZERO deviations of your own and only 1 friend in the world but here you are attacking somebody who is actually making an effort and uploading things.
Her peotry is actually quite good, sixty plus Groups have featured it and none of them are disrespecting her, she rightfully gives credit to the person she believes to be the owner of the photo.
Unless your planning on adding something amazing and original to your own profile why don't you go Troll Facebook instead

A lot of those groups automatically accept art.

I wasn't saying anything bad about her poetry. In fact, I find it quite good. However, simply giving credit to an image's original owner does not make it okay to use it on here. Not to mention that the person who originally owns the image is no longer a member of dA, and has "false" dA accounts all over.

I'll add something to my profile when I feel like it. I really hate putting my paintings on-line, though. Taking photos of them really doesn't work out so well.
